The Aviation Academy prepares future professionals for a career in the world of Aviation. Keyword in all our activities is ‘operational readiness’: everything that is needed to make planes fly safely and to transfer passengers and goods. Therefore our curriculum features both a specialization in Aviation Engineering (focusing on maintenance and usage of the plane) and a specialization in Aviation Operations (focusing on transfers, networks, logistics, security and airport development).
The Aviation Academy provides both education and research for the mentioned two specializations. Thereby working closely together with commercial partners in the work field. This collaboration helps us adding new relevant subjects to the curriculum, like simulation and modelling, and it also boosts our student’s professional and research skills. Our curriculum adapts quickly to developments in the real world. For the students the first two years of our bachelor program are mainly supply-oriented whereas the last two years we stimulate students to shape their personal program.
Since we work together with flight academies and air traffic control services it is possible for our students to start a Pilot program or an Air Traffic Controller program during their study at our Aviation Academy.
It’s our ambition to be amongst the best of Europe’s academies. To reach this goal we work together with several other universities across the world.
